The Urban Butterflies evolved from an earlier series of solo pedestrians walking…the paintings can be seen as both a lone figure walking through the city and a butterfly. This duality reflects the illusion that we are individuals living within an external and physical reality, at the end we are all connected: neither we are individuals nor there is an external reality. We are one.
